About Therapy

1062204269When you come into my office…

You come first.

You may live in a fast-paced, stressful, demanding world, but you’ll feel valued and respected here.

You can always count on me to be on time and focused entirely on you.

It’s very important that you feel comfortable and relaxed during therapy, so I do everything I can to make sure this is an environment where you can do that.

Safety always comes first.

As a trauma victim, you know how hard it can be to feel safe.

It runs deep on many levels, as emotional torment, guilt, and insecurity about your thoughts abound.

And if you’ve suffered trauma, you probably feel like a prisoner in (or betrayed by) your own body.

We will never go anywhere you don’t feel safe, and I will always ask permission before taking the next step in treatment.

You will be in full control of the session.

Before we can address any deeper work, you will learn coping skills that work for you.

What works for someone else may not work for you.

What is important is to explore your personal needs and what works for you.

“Processing” is a big word in therapy.

If you’ve suffered through trauma, there is a lot of emotional charge around the event. Before confronting those emotions and fears, I will make sure you are ready.

We will start small and go at the pace that you are comfortable with.

This takes time, but as we go through this journey together, you will feel acceptance, gratitude, and joy again. We will laugh together and marvel at the road traveled, embracing the future with optimism and courage.

It will be obvious when our work is done.

That’s because we will have defined your goals and clearly met them.

And even though parting can be hard, in our hearts, we’ll know it’s the right thing to do.

But if you confront another challenge in life (that’s the way it often goes!), I want you to feel comfortable asking me for assistance without hesitation.

I’m here for you.

I look forward to helping you take this next step on your journey.

It doesn’t have to take forever to feel good again.

About Me

Eliezer“What makes people tick??”

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated with how people operate.

How can humanity be so diverse yet have so much in common??

And as I’ve gotten older, I’ve increasingly appreciated the unique challenges people face and how they play out in their lives.

In short, I’ve always known deep down that psychology was for me.

My road to becoming a therapist…

It wasn’t until I was pursuing my master’s degree that I realized I wanted to spend my life helping people – especially those traumatized by an event entirely out of their control.

The more I learned, the more my compassion grew for people whose lives have been shaped by trauma and misfortune.

Why me? What have I done to deserve this? Why do the good suffer?

This journey has changed me, igniting a responsibility to help these traumatized souls.
